Middle Africa was founded in Douala in 2005 by Mr. Joan Riera and Ousseni Mfouapon.
Prior to this date, we had travelled all along the country, discovering its touristic potentials, its ethnic diversity and the existing infrastructures (hotels, resorts, nature parks and the general state of the road system). In the year 1999 we began to organise anthropological expeditions for various tourist agencies in Spain. One year later we inaugurated African Heritage, a travel agency based in the residential quarter of Bonapriso, in Douala. By that time we worked with small groups in a monthly basis and both of us guided the groups. This fact allowed us to gain a lot of experience dealing with agencies, tourists and the local population. Finally, in the year 2005 we decided to transform African Heritage into Cameroon Top Tours in order to specify our focus in Cameroon.

RESERVATIONS

Services ordered for groups or individuals are confirmed after the payment of a non-refundable deposit of 10%.
Full payment is required 30 days before the start of the tour. We deserve the right to cancel any reservations for which the total tour price has not been paid by the due date. No group nor individual shall be handled if by the start of the tour, the payment is not yet received

CANCELLATION CHARGES

Any cancellation of reservations by tour operators or others must be made in writing and it involves the payment of charges that vary with the date of the cancellation:
-Between 60 and 31 days prior to arrival, 25% of total payment due.
-Between 30 days and 10 days prior to arrival, 50% of total payment due.
-Between 10 days and no show, no refund.
Should a tourist fail to join the tour, or join it after departure, or leave the tour prior to completion, or not consume certain services offered during the tour, no refund can be made.

QUOTES

All quotes are provided on the basis of two persons sharing a room. Single supplements are billed for individuals wishing to occupy a room alone. Quotes do not include meals or drinks of all sorts nor expenses of a general or personal nature such as telephone, laundry, extras, etc, and airport taxes (500 FCFA for each domestic flight and 10.000 FCFA for each international flight)

INSURANCE

Passengers should make sure they have comprehensive insurance before arriving Cameroon. This should take care of cancellations, lost baggages, medical expenses, etc.

RESPONSIBILITY

CAMEROON TOP TOURS, their agents or servants shall not be held responsible for, and shall be exempt from liability in respect of any delay or change in any domestic or international flight, loss of baggage by any airline, loss of personal items during a tour, theft, damage, injury, accident, etc. The extra costs involved, for instance, collecting lost baggage at the airport and delivering to the tourist already undergoing a tour in a remote region is the passenger’s responsibility.

Middle Africa has the right at any time to alter an itinerary, accommodation, or restaurant due to unforeseen circumstances such as flight changes, weather, strikes, riots or interference in any manner. Our responsibilty is to make sure the passenger visits the sites or attractions booked for or accommodation in hotels with similar standards. Any extra costs involved due to these alterations fall on the passenger.
